Wow, that means I don't need a recon run, good deal. Have fun!

Next problem I'm seeing on this is according to that site there is no availability for 10/13 staying 1 night. I'll try to call to make sure though. It'd be cool to get one of the group sites for all of us.

My dad's asking for the 13th off today. We're going to try to camp up there the last weekend of this month for a little recon/camping trip, see how the campsites are and such.
So is your dad going to be the Support Truck? Or do we want to have two support vehicles?

How is it possible (short of it being closed) that there would be no availability on a friday in October.......that's pretty odd.....

Any word on the support truck situation?

I'm working my butt off trying to get money for pads and rotors before the run. If I'm lucky, maybe in time for the SVTOA Auto-X deal.

Does anyone run any sort of brake cooling ducting or anything? I've been pondering making up some sort of cooling ducts for my calipers on the front so that I don't kill them like I did the last time I ran my car hard.

Just make sure you're running good pads and fluid (ATE super blue!). Ducting for anything other than track events will over cool your brakes. It might even restrict cooling since we're not going *that* fast... and it would only allow air through the duct, and not the surrounding air.

Oh, if you can get directionally vaned rotors, that will also help keep them cooler.

Running the risk of sounding incredibly dense (not far from the truth anyhow) where in the world is this alpine? AZ, CA, NM, NV, I think each state has one. put a state on it and i'll see if it's worth the drive...

AZ, right near the NM border north east of payson, near Sholow and Pine Top. not terribly far from NAU.

Ordered the new brakes earlier tonight, I see no reason I shouldn't have them mounted up and broken in by the 13th.

I'm sorry for sounding like I'm trying to be a thorn in everyone's side, but what is the deal on the support truck? I saw someone say their dad was getting the day off, not sure if that was to run as the truck or not? I don't wanna get within a couple days of this only to tell my grandpa we've already gotten someone.

I will try to invite the guy's I ran with sunday as well! they now call them selfs (Group B) They are the coolest layed back guy's I've meet most of there talk was about me where are you from? why could'nt we find you early this summer?....I am sure am taking the Long Run but the weekend before it I am going to the PRESCOTT RALLY anyone is invited to come along! For more details PRESCOTTRALLY.COM.

My dad may be out, so it looks like no truck for me. :( I may not even be able to go no due to work scheduling.

If your Dad can't go, we can still cover the Support Truck situation with my grandpa, thats not really a big problem. But that would suck though if you couldn't go, hope things work out and you'll still be able to come.

Now as far as the truck thing goes, what all would be needed to be carried in it? I'm assuming various fluids of some sort, and most likely some tools. Its just a standard cab, short bed 2006 Tacoma, so we can't pack the world in it, but I'm sure we could bring the essensials for sure.
