So what ever happened to having colored interiors in the US, interiors other than tan, gray, black, or some combination of the 2? I noticed in Europe there seams to be allot of color choices for all blue, red, etc for interior color choices in addition to the grays? I know in the US in the 80’s to early 90’s many cars used to have color options but they all vanished (and they didn’t look nearly as good as the euro color interiors do)

For cars that are imported from Europe/ are made in the same plants as e-spec cars why don’t they even offer it as an option to order this stuff?

I thought this was kind of cool...

You can get a Mustang with red leather seats.

Thunderbirds can come in white leather

The Contour SVT offered blue leather

The Mystichrome Mustang had multicolored seats

The the GTO offers red or blue leather

Well the common '80's blue was lame so they stopped making them.

Unfortunately that was only a limited edition car, and they sold out before they even arrived at the dealers. It would be great if they offered it again on the mazdaspeed3 when it came out. I LOVE how those color interiors look. It is similar to the bmw color you posted too…
Now also these colors allot of you are pointing out are the fabric, that is easy to change yourself if you really want to, but allot of companies in Europe seam to offer there cars with the ENTIRE interior tinted a color, dash, doors, carpet etc… You cant do that yourself at the same quality level. If you paint the whole dash it usually winds up glossy and can chip easily

Well, it's cheaper to limit the options to one or two interior choices. That's one reason why.

And admit it, the general population is not exactly overflowing with imagination.

Personally I wouldn't mind a few more choices. However, my preferences tend to lean more towards dark grey and black, so the current(common) choices suit me as well.

but if they allready make the other color options why not just offer it. If it is a US market car, and they need to develop this that is one thing, but if they allready make it, why not offer it to us. :what:

My SVT Contour has an all black and blue interior. Its pretty cool. The blue is soooo dark, everyone thinks its all black untill I say something.

I also wish we got the Cinnamon interior over here, but until then, I'm going with a black interior next time around, light grey is teh suck

When I was shopping for my Honda S2000 I wanted a Grand Prix White/red interior so bad but apparently so does everyone else they were impossible to find in my area for a decent price.
