Just curious. What car do you plan on buying next, and when?

I'm *planning* to keep my 2005 Mazda3 for a very long time (I've said that about the last three cars I've owned, and didn't do it!). But, right now, my plan is to, when the Mazda3 is paid off, keep it and find an E36 BMW M3. I LOVED those cars when they were new. 240 hp, and 0-60 mph in 5.4 seconds in every Car & Driver test. The 333 hp version that replaced it was little or no quicker to 60 mph. I saw a gorgeous E36 M3 on the expressway the other day, black, and in mint condition, and very shiny. It was stunning, and rekindled my love affair with this car.

EDIT: I have to take part of that back. The next M3 did 0-60 mph in the mid- to high-4 second range. I thought I had remembered it being only a couple tenths quicker.

i really want EVO MR
better hurry up. they just stopped making the IX's you'll have to the the IX SE (basically an MR and GSR combined) plus the IX's are super cheap right now http://www.socalevo.net/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=36&topic=23988.0 (buy from HB mitsu though they offer the same prices as south coast but it's a better dealership)

hmm i dunno my next car just yet but it will be in another month. looking for an Evo Viii for $20k. found a few of them but the mileage is higher than i want but i can always fix that with some stroker love and head from cossie and a nice turbo upgrade. or maybe i'll grab a comp orange EAP SVTF and put on a GT28RS:evilgrin: .

if i didn't need a cosigner it would be Evo IX GSR in Electric Blue, no factory options needed. i'll just get everything aftermarket rather than paying for the same thing twice.

2007ish Scion tC in Super White, 5-speed manual with iPod capabilities. It will eventually get TRD lowering springs, black wheels with a polished lip, and tint :) I'd like to wait till next spring or summer to buy, but my ZX3 is a huge pile of junk so it may be unloaded sooner than expected

i wonder why

my cars a 00 it's 06 and nothing has changed. it's actually gotten cheaper and uglier.

i said i'd get a SVT though but it's my 2nd choice
I know, that was sarcasm, brought on by bitterness that we have a website devoted to a car that probably doesn't deserve it anymore, unless we all put "well, it was good when it first came out 7 years ago!" in our sigs.

I just think it's funny cuz on like a VW message board or a Honda board I'm sure you'd see people talking about cars specific to that brand that their board is about, whereas with us we're all posting cars from other manufacturers.

One of the following:

Volvo C30

Honda Civic Si

May look at the 08 Focus depending on what is under the hood.

or a truck.

I know that is a bit of an extreame but if the C30 is offerd as I hope, I'd buy one an keep it forever.

If not, I need "transportation" and would have to buy something fun or something useful around the house, but both would be disposable, get around year use cars while the C30 would be off the road for the winter and given lots of TLC.

Well Jared, I'd like to give my business to Ford, and even spent some time at the local dealership the other day looking for an '06 ZX3 in Cloud 9 White, but not only did they tell me that they couldn't get me one from another dealership, but insisted I buy the stripped-down Screaming Yellow ZX3 on their lot that was an automatic :screwy::what: Plus I've absolutely HATED service at the dealerships around here, whereas the Toyota/Scion dealership is about the most chill place one could imagine :)
