I am sick of buying winshield wipers! The last 2 or 3 pairs I have gotten have been complete garbage. I want to buy the best windshield wipers out there...anyone have any suggestions? I live in North Dakota so ice is definately an issue too (I have almost broke a pair because of this.) Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Which brand(s) are you buying? The other thing to note is that in our owner's manual, it states the blades are good for only 6 months. Aside from that, a lot of things can happen to cause the blade to crap out (quality, environment, etc.).

My Ford blades have worked well in the summers. For winters, I've swapped to a Michelin-branded (made by Pylon), single blade/element design like the Bosch and Valeo designs. As whyme pointed out, I've also had to wipe these blades down more than the stock ones because they seem to gather more crap.

I had bought the rain-x wipers since I have rain-x and thought that they would work well together. HAH My cheapo $2.00 wipers worked better than them things and lasted twice as long. Waste of money. Best ones I have used were the Michelin ones (got them at walmart for about $5.00 a side)

But like said before, with the rain-x I can go sometimes 14 miles (my house to gf's house) without using the wipers once.

Motomaster Reflex
Since the OP is American, they should be the same as the Trico Innovision blades.

I just bought and installed the Bosch Icon wipers, and honestly, to date these are the best I've ever used! They are a bit more expensive than the previous set of Bosch wipers I bought (May '06 - Oct '07 they lasted almost 1-1/2 years!), but only time will tell if they are worth the extra money. Based on users comments, the new Bosch Icons seem to be a good bet, new design, high speed stability and great looks. *Also* Not sure if you all are aware of this (I'm a new poster here on FocalJet) but you can 'plus-size' your wiper blades. The maximum sizes that fit without going over the edges of your glass are: Drivers- 24", Pass-21" and Rear 14". Those are the sizes I'm currently using on my '03 ZX3 H/B and I must say that they provide a noticable improvement over the stock OEM blade-lengths.
-P.S. I couldn't get the rear hatch wiper in the Icon series, so I got the Bosch Hinsight, they say they are specifically designed for rear wipers, so far, so good, we'll see:)

I've got the Valeo's. They're cheap from the 'Rack and work pretty well. You do have to wipe them down every once in a blue moon or they will chatter across the windshield. Easy though, just whenever you're filling up at a gas station and bother to clean the windshield give em a one over. :)

Thanks guys, looks like I'll be picking up myself a set of the Bosch Icon's. Hopefully they are worth the money, but as long as I get the ones I have on there now off then I will be happy.
they stop that whisle at highway speed too.

i second on the PIAA"S they are amazing i got 2 years outta my old ones. the icons are ok not a fan of the trico versions. the trico exact fits are pretty nice for cheap

I have the icons as well and love em

only problem i have run into with them it at high speeds they tend to drift up the windshield due to the blade on top....

I have a problem with the rear wiper all of the time. The end that reaches the furthest out on the glass dosen't bend enough to actually wipe the glass when it's between the 10 and 2 o'clock position. Will the bosch, piaa, or any of these help correct that? I'm on my 5th wiper in a month because it bugs the crap out of me.

I just bought a set of Anco Contour. They are expensive(about $40.00/set) but they are amazing!
