Very true:lol:Maxximtl said:Lets see. Focus sales are way up, so they cancel the SVT Focus. F-150 sales are way down, so they continue with the SVT F150.:bang:
Ford logic is beautiful. No wonder they are doing so well for themselves.
looked pretty much 4WD from the video did it not?secondechomatt said:whatever, I've been watching this for a long time now! I'm pretty excited, this may be my next truck.
I wonder if its going to be 2 or 4wd?
Wait for the next focus. I'm thrilled about this for 2 reasons. 1 It's SVT and the name is apperntly staying attached and 2 ford could use something like this and I mean that seriously. Where I live there are so many done up f-150's it's amazing. This will sell. Not a major volume maker but good none the less. Back to the svt part. If svt can make this it means hope for future models. I doubt svt would again put their name on something they knew wasn't either A-going to kick ass or B-not exist very long.Maxximtl said:Lets see. Not necessarily; a prerunner could do everything the truck in that video did.Focusfre4k said:looked pretty much 4WD from the video did it not?
the second video that is
You may be right.secondechomatt said:thats what I'm sayin. I didn't nec see any "thrust" from the front wheels. Most trophy trucks are 2wd anyway.
Yeah but where do you get Factory prerunners? This is a "Factory" directly from Ford.blkfocus said:Not necessarily; a prerunner could do everything the truck in that video did.

Well, In My case, it has nothing to do with "Regional Tastes", it has to do with "Practicality".rpvitiello said:odd how allot of people here liked the lightning cuz it was a low street truck...
A few people mentioned my new truck would be cooler if i could LOWER it somehow (since it is really tall from being a 4x4.)
Differetn regions different taists i guess.

Ford just RE-Hired 1,000 workers due to Higher-Than-Anticipated F-150 Sales.
BTW, the Truck looks NICE. (Even with the Camo)
I wish my Dad had waited another year to buy a new truck... He bought an '07 F-150.
This one looks WAY more usable as a TRUCK than the Lightning, which was so "Street Only" that it just wasn't much of a "TRUCK".

You should have qualified this statement with "to me anyway" clause. Different strokes for different folks.MichaelXi said:I like the Lightning, BUT, I know that I've never seen one used for anything other than "Cruising", Commuting, Drag Racing, or Auto-X.
It certainly isn't a vehicle that one would "Work" with.
"Work" and "Off Road Play" are the domain of the Truck.
Cars have the "Pavement Fun" covered. Cars are Certainly at a disadvantage on the "Work"/Offroad" side.
The RARE uses of a Street Truck's bed can Usually be covered by a good hatchback, with the exception of only the Largest Furniture.
