Hatch folding backseat stuck.

So, the 40%split side of my SE hatch's backseat is stuck in the upright and locked position, with the release button unwilling to go down since I came home with the car a couple of weeks ago. I'm going to go over to my dealership and see if they can't sort it out, possibly at the start of next week when I have more time. The other side--the 60% side--has zero issues.

Anyone else run into this? No matter how much force, gentility, or finesse I put into it, the smaller side just won't release and operate correctly. :bang: For a car that's supposed to be practical, I'm kind of disappointed that this simplest of things doesn't seem to be working well on mine. It's kind of uncharacteristic of the rest of the car (which seems exceptionally well put together for a 20k car).

I've never had a problem with the folding seats in the time I've had my 2012. Both 60/40 and flip up work perfectly. Either it's a bad part (like a latch) or someone may have jammed the mechanism.

Definitely take it in. That's what warranty is for.

Yeah. I'm pretty sure all the operable bits (aside from the latches themselves that hook into the support pillar) are some sort of hard ABS plastic or something, which could have snapped, or bent, or something in transit or while it was on the lot.

Dropped my my dealership's service dept. today. Faulty latch. They wrote out a ticket and ordered the replacement part for me. Should be a couple of days before I can come back and fix it, but in the meantime, it's not ruining my life or anything. :)
