Hey I need some info...and help...I got a 4" muffler..on my svt focus...it sounds good..but wend I push the gas it make a lot of poping noise...is that normal or do I need to change something

my 02 svt focus has stock exhaust and it also makes popping sounds if i pump the accell pedal from idle. sounds like normal backfire noise to me... I'm guessing the SVT exhaust has less restrictive baffling in the mufflers which allows the backfire noise to come out the tailpipe.
