So should I buy a Predator and use Tom's tune, buy an XCAL from FS with Randy's tune on it, or go to that place in OP Rick and Jem had their cars tuned at and get a dyno tune?
 
Yeah the only reason I considered the predator was I came across a tune for a predator and would only have to buy the tuner....
 
I would go down to Hurricane Performance (formerly HP Performance). Tom is the guy that runs the show down there now, the brother of an RX7 guy we hang out with. Pretty cool guy, and I believe the same guy still does his tuning (brain fart, totally forgot his name).

Before it goes on though, I'm going to buy an HKS SVT exhaust and a tune. I'm going to talk to the guys at Hurricane/HP and either get it from there or buy an FSWerks tune. Gotta keep working and saving...

Eventually....it's just not really in the cards until I can get a better and more consistant/stable job. My next round of mods were going to be the ORP and HKS, a tune, and ST170 front with a pre-facelift rear. I have thought about it, and if I bought your kit for $1500 I'd have to modify it to fit (so say $200...but I have no idea) then I'd have to install it (couple cases of beer or a keg to you guys lol) with a good clutch and flywheel as mine wouldn't hold up long at all under boost (~$1000), any gauges (wideband o2) or supporting mods (boost-a-pump, mafia, or whatever else Icould need), then have it tuned (~$600 I'm guessing for a custom dyno tune, but again I don't know), and then I'd be tempted to do a Quaife while we were in the tranny (~$1000). The **** adds up quick :(.....and then reliability would probably go out the window from what I've read/heard about turbo cars. But I have no real knowledge in the area. Maybe it's just that you only hear the bad... But being that I drive to and from school and work 7 days a week (80 miles or more per day on average) I can in no way afford or be able to deal with my car going down. Plus my car has 148.5k on it, so I don't know how it would handle the boost....

Ultimately I really want to buy your kit and will probably have the money to do so in a few months. Most of me is saying "BUY THE ****ING THING!!!!" but the responsible side of me is saying "Save the money!" so I don't know what to do. Really I need to talk to you and figure out what it's gonna cost to do and do right, then figure out if it's something everyone would be willing to help with and get done in a weekend, if that's even possible.

I'm sitting here thinking about how I could buy your kit and amass parts until I get out of school in December and have a massive G2G install day and do the clutch then get it broken in then do the turbo however long later over a day or a few days then limp it to wherever and get it tuned. Like I said I REALLY want to do it but I don't know if it's the best thing to do right now, ya know? If I just buy the kit, a clutch and flywheel, and get it tuned I'm looking at 3 grand and possibly a ticking time bomb :lol:

I love the fact that my Euro grille finally got painted, but I honestly don't think it flows with the CF hood. You need to do this (horrible chop...I know. I did it quick in MS PAINT lol):

I went on their cause of the Daytona meet and so far the Florida people have been nice and also the people on the thread that I posted..maybe because Im a girl... most likely :D My home is here tho.:hump: :thumbup: fixed :eek:

& btw, reply to my text :mad: I got the grille, & Im going to AAP tomorrow during lunch or after work to spray down the old grille sidemarkers (its still on the car tho :() im just not sure if i gotta buy amber bulbs?! Hows it gonna blink through, ya digg?
 
Just leave the bulbs in there as-is. You'll still have the amber lens, so the light will still shine through as orange. You're just tinting it so it doesn't look orange while the light isn't blinking :thumbup:

idk, but I've done it 3 times and it's always been the middle wire....

anyways, I was just wondering. not that you even have to buy my kit. although it would help pay off the stuff i just bought, and have to buy. (finally back into modding the focus, slightly) :D
i dunno, maybe we can sit down and talk about mods/money one day. i think i have sunday/monday off next week.
but you'd better hurry. cuz once i save up some more cash, i'll be putting that bad boy on if its still sitting at my parents.
