I think I am going to get a leftover skeleton or something from the halloween stores when they close down and strap him in as my passenger. Maybe a grim reaper.

A buddy of mine in highschool had a dad that would hide a this 4' alien doll all over the house and scare people. He would throw it in the closet and in the bathroom. It always got me.

I got to Tally about an hour and a half ago, and the journey was completely trouble free :D

Thanks again for he help Duncan!!!

It is kind weird not seeing that battery light on the dash anymore though

Glad it worked out for ya bro. Even more glad that I caught ya before you hit the road. You may have made it to Tally but not if you had been using lights, the fan or the A/C. Got the core turned back in no prob. Oh and thanks for the brews! Enjoying one right now as I type.

After you left the Mrs, and I went to go pick our Mazda. Wasn't done correctly. The paint work was flawless and that's where I usually find problems with insurance work but this time is was the bumper itself. The adjuster wrote the repair order up to overhaul the rear bumper, not replace it. Even though they did overhaul it - and I'll admit it was a damn good job for what they had to work with - it wasn't perfect. You could clearly see a high point and a scallop in the bumper cover in daylight......something that was probably easy enough to miss under fluorescent lamps. They collision place was super cool about it though and apologized for not seeing it and not repairing it correctly the first time. The manager said she would call the State Farm (the at fault driver's insurance) and have them come back out to reassess. She also said she would lean on them to write it as a cover replacement not repair.

FWIW to all of you, I am absolutely disgusted with the service I received from State Farm during this whole thing. Maybe they treat their own customers better but all the other times I've been hit by someone I've dealt with Geico, Progressive, and USAA. All of those previous times have been smooth and hassle free. Trying to get this done with State Farm has been very very aggravating. They haven't returned calls, they called Melissa a liar when she submitted a claim for her back being F'd up, It took a week and a half for them to mail me a check. Mail me a check? WTF do I want the check for? Pay the damn collision place, not me! Seriously. If you ever get hit by someone AND you have full coverage on your car AND they have State Farm, call YOUR insurance company, file a claim and tell them you want them to "subrogate" the claim. That means YOUR insurance company handles all of the estimates, repairs, rental, and bull****. You will have to pay your collision deductible but you will get it back once your insurance company goes after the at faulty party's insurance provider to pay for it.

But on the positive side, it looks like I've found myself a body shop if I ever need paint work done......Tom Bush Collision on Atlantic. Seriously the respray on the bumper was flawless and the blend they did on the quarter panel was undetectable. Really First Class.

I am so glad I checked the Jet one last time before I hit the sack last night...that would have been a nightmare coming out here with a bad alt and more than likely getting stranded.

Glad you're enjoying the brewskis! I had fun earlier and learned quite a bit about my car swapping the alt out with you :D

That totally blows about the Mazda. I have State Farm, but have yet to atually need the insurance. Hopefully I don't have those kinds of problems if I ever do...

So does that mean even more fun times in the ****box Equonox?

Hey guys, figured I'd show a little of what I've got going on with the RX7. She is ready to be reassembled.

Before tear down.

Tear down mess! Duncan would be disappointed. Until he saw my 1000000 Bags with my parts. :)

Cleaned up and ready to go!

This is by far the prettiest exhaust I have ever seen in my life. Also the most expensive part of the build as of yet. It is a Racing Beat Rev TII full stainless exhaust. 3" DP to 2.5" Y back.

Fully assembled rotor (minus apex seals). We used Rotary Aviation 2 piece Super Apex Seals, Atkins Rotary solid corner seals, 3rd gen/Mazda Race corner seal springs, RA Race apex seal springs, and Atkins Cyro treated side seals. This thing is bulletproof! =D

Fudgecakes. I need to re size those monsters.
Fixed.
Other mods that aren't pictured: Walbro 255 LPH in tank pump, Aem tru-boost, 750 CC injectors.

Future planned mods- Megasquirt full standalone, FMIC, bigger turbo, lots of boost, aeromotive FPR, FJO wideband (or other NGK WBO2), full suspension, 17X8 F & 17X9 R wheels and paint. I'm glad I pay cheap rent. :)

I hope this thing scoots!

I will soon post pics of why I even tore it down to rebuild. They are pretty nasty...

Whatever was making the noise in the front end of the Focus finally let go today. With a nice pop and plenty of grinding. After nursing it from 17, to 103rd/Old Middleburg, we are relatively certain it was/is in the brake system. After the game is over we are going to pull the wheel off and see what we can see.

Hopefully it's something that simple

I got the door handles wrapped and the steering wheel cover thing done. IT IS A PITA.

Door handles wrapped? What did you do, cover them in vinyl?

I don't mean the handle that you pull to open the door, but the one you pull to close it.. The piece in the middle pops out and wrap your fabric around it. Use some adhesive promoter, and just pop it back in once wrapped..
