...and OMG WTF WOW!!!

Yes I did get to launch it!!

That car runs like a raped ape. Off the line and through to 2nd gear was an absolute blast. Turbo lag was nominal but as soon as it was in full boost you better be paying attention to the road ahead of you!

All in all
Two Thumbs Up....WAY UP!!!

<that sums it up. I loved WRX's, and the STi was flat out awesome. I don't care if the Evo gets praised more, the scooby gets my vote any day. Wish I could drive one.

They are insanely quick, handle great, but... i just...cant...get...over...that...wing...and...interior...look.

(i was looking @ a silver one a few weeks back. ended up getting another focus.)

STi's are the shizzy. Gabe, how do you know what it's like to rape an ape? Hmmmm???

i have some freinds with them, and I they're always nice to take a ride in. And maybe, probably, Im weird but, my favorite thing about them is how the doors dont have a frame above the window. I just think thats cool, are there any other non-convertible cars around that have that?

I HATE the non-framed windows on Suby's. Closing the doors with the windows even only .5 inches down make the car feel like such a cheap one night stand.

Other than that, the STi's are great cars. Great daily drivers.

But I'd take an Evo any day

haha, different strokes for different folks, i like myself a good cheap one night stand every now and then.

Was it at a dealership? I still haven't gotten to scoot around in one yet and figured most dealers would make you jump through a couple hoops before throwing you the keys.
The stealership here didn't even ask for my drivers license(i'm 17, and look 16

) when I drove their white STi

ehm, i hate the framless windows on my WRX.. there have been numerous complaints that after/during rain, when you open the door the water drips onto the edge of the seats and stains them - particularly with the 04+ models like I have. big pain in the arse.. plus they make the car more prone to break ins.

My mom's Forester has windows like that. I always have to yell at my brother cuz he likes to close the door by grabbing onto the window

come to think of it, i believe my 87 RX-7 had doors like that

Which dealership (or was it one)? I still haven't gotten to scoot in one, and wouldn't mind seeing how they feel. I figure the price should go down a little now that they are no longer the cheapest 300hp vehicle in the US market (GT even loaded is still thousands less and more torquey).

If you are still in Houston....stop by John Eagle Honda at 290 and West Rd. I will take you for a spin in it!
